  6. 1. Treat others as you wish to be treated.

  8. 2. No language unacceptable to prime-time television may be used.

  10. 3. The topic of conversation is the D'Bridge EMAIL System and all software
  11.    programs related directly.  This includes both technical talk,
  12.    complaints, bug reports and suggestions. Off-topic messages are not
  13.    allowed.

  15. 4. No personal flaming is allowed.  I may be reached via NETmail.

  18. 5. ONLY the moderator is to respond to off-topic messages or over used
  19.    message threads.

  21. 6. DBRIDGE is open for everyone. You do NOT have to be a DB user to carry or
  22.    post in this echo, as long as your messages are on topic.

  24. 7. If you send a netmail question to me, please poll my system in about 24
  25.    to 30 hours later and pick up your answer. I do not reply direct netmail
  26.    very often; however, I do post the reply and place it on hold for you to
  27.    poll for later. If you wish your question to be answered in either DBRIDGE
  28.    or, if you are a registered user, in DB_TECH, please let me know and I
  29.    will post the reply in that echo.

  31. 8. Please remember that DBRIDGE is one of the top 10 (in volume)
  32.    International echo areas. Test messages are NOT permitted! If you
  33.    see a test message in DBRIDGE, do NOT answer it (except in netmail)

  35. 9. We do allow users to advertise "keys for sale"; however, only under the
  36.    following conditions: you must post the key/kee number and the date/
  37.    time stamp on the key file. You MUST provide prospective buyers the
  38.    above information in order for them to verify that you are the current
  39.    registered owner in our database and will transfer all ownership rights
  40.    and you must inform them that the "lifetime" free update service is not
  41.    included with the sale of the key. This free update policy is vested in
  42.    YOU and may not be transfered or sold to anyone. You must also provide
  43.    a method to contact you direct... either a valid FidoNet node number, or
  44.    if you are a point, a valid voice line number.

  46. 10.  The Moderator is the SOLE authority and his/her decissions are final and
  47.      non-appealable. The Moderator will not tolerate ANY flaming of the
  48.      author; although the product is fair game ONCE - If you continue to harp
  49.      on the same problem for over 7 days, you will be asked to take it to
  50.      netmail or suspend yourself from posting in this echo for 30 days.

  52. 11. This is a hobby and D'Bridge is supposed to be part of the fun of the
  53.     telecommunication hobby. Please do not answer off topic messages or
  54.     flames, that makes you more guilty than the originator, since anyone can
  55.     ask a question that is new to them... We don't mind novice's asking
  56.     almost any question; however, we do fault knowledgeable, computer
  57.     literate folks jumping in to tell the novice what a dumb thing that was.
  58.     The Moderater will answer any such questions either in netmail or in the
  59.     echo.

  61. 12. Ownership of a valid D'Bridge license key allows the keyholder to apply
  62.     for acceptance in DB_TECH, our private, non-backbone echo, but does not
  63.     guarantee the users acceptance.

  65. 13. A list of worldwide sales/service sites is published every Thursday
  66.     evening to coinside with the weekly nodediff. DBNET is ZIPPED so the
  67.     first DBNET this year was DBNET.Z01 (DBNET.001) - we endevor to keep the
  68.     phone numners accurate as well as any special service.

  70. 14. The Moderator shall serve at the moderators' pleasure.

  72. 15. From time to time new POLICY will be published in DBNET as well as
  73.     posted in the echo(s).

  76. Simple rules are easy to live by. Please help us keep the DBRIDGE echo on the
  77. FidoNet Backbone!
